Look at the two characters of Marianne ( sensibility ) and
Elinor who has the sense. Analyse how they react to the key events in their lives. Firstly, the loss of their father, the loss of their home, their relocation and change of status in society, their attitude to love and how they cope with lost love and finally how they evolve as people and in their relationship as sisters.

It is a wonderful book! It certainly demonstrates the unfortunate and unfair class separation of the time. The people of the time were greatly 'aware' of the separation of the classes as well as quite open where scorn and insult were concerned.

I've read it, and like it so much. I think you should read it urself, so that you can actually experience the essence of it. You will be able to do your report on it with your feelings and thoughts about it. Good luck! : )
