I'm aware that both these nations had similar visions for what communism would do to their nations, how it would help them, etc, but I'm attemtping to locate ideological and inherent dissimilarities between the communisms of both nations. If anyone can help, that'd be great!

two kind of communism Leninism and Maoist are practiced in these countries.These two are not the exact theoretical Marxism as Karl Marx put forward .

China want to be the leader of Communists group instead of USSR. China leaders thought USSR's reforms are not communist's way!

USSR had a vision of isolationism, with self reliance. China has tasted the nectar of capitalism and will never be the same.
