Is Yitzhak Arad considered a real authority on the Holocaust?

Yitzhak Arad is a Polish-born Israeli historian and retired IDF brigadier general. A veteran of the Nazi-era Jewish resistance movement in ghetto and partisan combat, he has researched, lectured, and published extensively on the Holocaust.

You should look him up on www.wikipedia.com. He seems to be pretty credible, with lots of experience. He is also listed there as a historian.
