What are some Pros and Cons about computers?

Pros - it makes work easier
you can have fun on it like listening to music,playing
games
it is a good source of communication
it helps a lot with your home work

Cons - because computer makes things done much faster it
often results in people getting very lazy
kids normally goes on inappropiate sites
people use the internet as a way meet kids especially
and they take advantages of the kids and have do rude
stuffs

PROs:
*You don't need to go to the library for research.
*You have e-mail which is good because:
-you can communicate with co-workers, friends, family, etc.
-an email takes 10 seconds to go sent to the reciever's inbox. this is way better than snail mail.
*You can type up business letters, essays, stories, and any other form of document to make whatever you are doing look formal and professional.
*You can watch the news, your favorite TV show or a webcam to see what a close friend or family member is doing-right from your computer.
*You can make phone calls from your computer-which comes in handy if your cell phone battery is charging or if the closest phone to you is in use or broken.
*If you love to edit your pictures or make layouts for your website or blog, then you need a photo editing program. That comes in use for taking out red eye, turning b&w from color, making layouts and so on.
*You can create CDs of your favorite music or put on data for work for a presentation for co workers and boss.
Basically you have the Internet, word processing programs, photo programs and other useful tools. With the Internet you have EVERYTHING at your finger tips-you can find out anything. From the year when George Washington was born all the way to how to bake a cheesecake.

CONs:
*Sometimes computers have glitches and may restart or the program won't respond and it will have to close out, due to that you may lose important infomation.
*If you are on the Internet and not protected from virsus, pop ups and so on you could get a virsus and have your entire hardrive wiped out. Speaking of hardrives...
*Sometimes hardrives get messed up and crash-so EVERYTHING on your computer is gone. (That is why you are supposed to back up on your files on a CD or DVD [DVDs hold more than CDs] just in case.)
*Computers get very hot easily and can create heat in the room you are in if you're on it for awhile. (Labtops especially. Regular computers can be left on for a long time-but labtops can't. Labtops have been known to create fires from the heat if they are left on for more than a few hours. No joke!!)
*You have to be ready to buy new computer parts. Minotors and keyboards and mouses sometimes go out.
*You have to know a LOT about what to do if your computer is acting up, if you have a virsus and so on to keep your computer working great and lasting for a long time.

They can be hacked, so important places that rely on computers, like banks and government offices can lose personal information, or your money !
They become obsolete too fast.
They contain lead and other toxins that end up in landfills

I can't think of anything good about them. I liked my life better before i got my computer.
