Has anyone gotten a line on a HPT that was so light, when it dried an evap line took over and made you think it wasn't even a positive? But you were really pregnant? I know dumb question. I took a test today and there was a line so faint that you'd look at it and say it's negative, but when ya look so close, you had to stare to see it, but after it dried, it looked like an evap. Does that make sense?

I do know that any sign of a line light or dark means your pregnant. But also I read on the instructions that your supposed to check the test after 5 min & that if it really is a positive the line will stay in place for up to 48 hours. Negatives will fade. You should try to take one again in about a week or so. I also had this problem 2 weeks ago & went to the doctor to have it double checked. I'm now 7 weeks pregnant! Just remember the farther along you are the clearer the result.

When I took my HPT, it showed a definite positive, but shortly afterwards, the positive mark faded, making the test look negative. They say that if a positive line shows up, no matter how faint, then you are probably pregnant. If you still aren't sure then wait a few days and then take another.

I took a pregnancy test a few days ago and it was a faint positive. I took anther one today I would say it was a better positive result. I going to the doctor to get and results for sure this week just to make sure.
( I have also been told that if you get any kind of positive it is positive so I rechecked and yep I'm sure I'm pregnant )
Update I went to the doctor who gave me a urine test that came back negative, I then got a blood test that came back negative. They said could be homones. Excuse me but HCG is HCG if it's in the urine it's in the blood. Whats up with that.
Yes I'm late. I will wait 2 weeks if I don't start my period I'm retaking the urine if it comes back positive again. I'm taking it straight to the doctors office and get another blood test. May I add yes I'm eating more simply because I don't know not because of wanting to. The only other symptoms are belly swelling and darking of nipples and flutters in belly. But for a unrine to go from definate positive to blood negative in 3 days is strange. But I do have problems with gastritis also this could be the belly and nerves from eating. Nerves from well am I or ain't I?

Um, I'm not sure if you've used a similar one to me, but in the tests I've used they say that if there is even a trace of a line then it is a positive result, no matter how faint the line is. And that you are supposed to check it after so long, and the result it shows then and there is the correct one, no matter what it was reading before or after.

I had a faint line when I took my first test with my son. A line is a line! Try taking another in a day or so but I'm pretty sure if YOU are certain you saw a line that you're pregnant. Congrats!

Makes perfect sense to me!! That's what happened to me...I was only 2 weeks pregnant so the line was so faint I thought I was imagining it!! I took a First Response to be sure (the same day) and the lines on that test came back very positive. First Response is more sensitive to early pregnancy...you can even take it a couple days BEFORE you miss your period.

I found out I was pregnant probably the first day a test would detect it. I think I took a test that had 2 lines if it was positive. I took like 3 to make sure I was really pregnant, so most likely you probably are. Wait 2 days and take another one, it's just really early now.

Yes, I had 3 tests come up faint over a 2 week period.. Even if it is faint, it is still a positive.. Trust me, I am 34 weeks now.. You just have to be able to tell the difference between the two.. Evap lines don't have a color..

Yes, actually, this is EXACTLY what happened to us! The line was very, very faint, and we both questioned it. We took another test in a couple of days and got a more clear result. We are now 25 weeks!
