What's your take on mineral makeup?

Are the mineral makeups, like the new L'Oreal or Bare Essentials, as good as they say they are? Do they have good coverage?

I love my mineral makeup! It takes a few attempts to learn how to apply the makeup in a different way, but the results are amazing. It looks like you are not wearing foundation and it feels completely weightless. I've tried several brands and the best one by far is Everyday Minerals. It is much less expensive than Bare Minerals, looks more natural and doesn't have the irritating oxy bismuth that so many brands have. Everyday Minerals has given me the best coverage of all of the mineral makeups. It hides blemishes and dark spots really well, but since using the makeup, I rarely have to cover things up anymore. My skin doesn't break out at all with it and I get complements on my skin and makeup all the time now.

I always think anything natural is the best way to go, and as for makeup, don't use any of the "new" mineral makeups coming out -- the absolute best is Bare Minerals. You can get a free makeover done with the minerals at an Ulta store near you. Yes, they have great coverage! And yes, even a concealer! There are lots of shades for cheeks and eyes - gorgeous coverage. I get compliments every single day - every day! since I started using them - and it's been almost a year and a half now. Everyone I introduce to Bare Minerals loves them, too. You can shop for them at Bareminerals.com or an Ulta store. The look is so natural - you'll never go back to another kind of makeup! I have tried various brands from neutrogena to bare essentials but I by mistake on a health web site found a mineral foundation that is amazing !!!!!! =) the brand is Bee-Luscious Cosmetics from Beeroyalproducts.com it lasts forever a little goes a long way the coverage is incredible and the liquid turns powdery leaving an airbrushed look ..

Mineral makeups are great! I'm not sure about the brands you mentioned, but Avon has a new mineral makeup that a few people I know have started using. It provides great coverage and is good for your skin.It has SPF 15. One of my customers has dry, flaky skin on her face and she says the mineral makeup has done her face well. She has not had any breakouts since she has been using it. The coverage is really good too, with or without a concealer. From what I understand, overtime,mineral makeup improves your skin. Avon has it on sale for $7.99

Bare Essentials is awesome!!! The best foundation ever!!!!!!! It has awesome coverage and don't clog your pores!!!!!! Bare Essentials is more expensive then L'Oreal but I've heard it is better.

i also use bare essentuals, i havn't tried other brands. i've been using it for about four years. i like it alot. it really helps with break outs. i am willing to try other mineral makup though. you can also buy it on qvc or at the sephora stores.

I use Arbonne bare minerals foundation powder and I always hated powder until I used Arbonnes. My cousin introduced it to me no that all I wear. yes it covers great and Arbonne has 15 different shades to offer. and it doesn't break me out because it's all natural and doesn't clog the pores. i like bare minerals ... i don't love it .. but i like it ... i haven't tried other brands
