I copied some of my cassettes onto my computer using a tape deck and an audio jack adapter.

I paid about $8 for an RCA jack adapter that I could plug into my computer's audio input connection. I used a free program called mp3mymp3 that captures any audio source from the computer and saves it in mp3 or wav formats. It saves at bitrates from 32 kbps to 320. Just pop in the tape, play it through the computer's sound card.

Here's where to get the software.
