The best rivalry in interleague play in my opinion is the Minnesota Twins vs. the Milwaukee Brewers. This dates back to when both the Twins and the Brewers were in the American League.

However, the best rivalry in all of baseball will always be the Red Sox vs. the Yankees.

The best rivalry in interleague or in intraleague baseball has nothing on the best rivalry in all of sports, so it doesn't matter.

The best rivalry in all of sports is between the NHL's Maple Leafs and Canadiens. That's because it's about more than hockey, it's about more than a thousand years of history between Britain and France. There is no North-American based rivalry that can come close.

Hey Nemm, Yankees and Red Sox isn't interleague Einstein.

I'm from Texas so I'm biased, Rangers vs. Astros for me.

If I'm trying to be fair, I'd have to say ChiSox and Cubs or Yankees and Mets....toss up.

depends on YOUR location, but interleague play is a good thing that allows us to talk about questions like these.

based on the number of fans talking about the rivalry, it doesn't get any bigger than new york, new york, as in yankees-mets. based on team success and some clever trades (barry zito anyone?) this year giants-A's might be right up there as well. when the two chicago (sox-cubs) teams get together it's big news for them, and ditto the two los angeles (angels-dodgers) teams.

but for 'the whole country's holding their breath' drama, it's gotta be the subway series in the big apple.

Are you guys joking? The best rivalry in all of sports is between the White Sox and the Cubs. They always bring something special to the table and it's always exciting to watch.

After the brawl last year, you got to go with Cubs - Sox. Who can forget AJ hitting the home run the next day and Zambrano pointing to his head. Good stuff.
