My year old son had pulled half a pot of coffee on him and I put him in cold water right away. He didn't blister until I had put the A&D oiniment on him and wrapped it with gauze. Did I do wrong by not calling the abulance, it didn't look that bad and when it did I took him to his peditrition doctor and they wouldn't take him because his insurince dropped but it didn't. They told me to take him to anurgent care. They sent a baby away. I don't think I was in the wrong

A and D ointment is good at healing burns. Sometimes it takes a little while for the blisters to form. It wasnt from the ointment. You did nothing wrong.

I'm sorry about your son. I've never known A & D Ointment to do anything other than soothe an injury. It would NOT make a burn spread. What probably happened is that with time, more of your son's burns just started to show -- like when you bruise yourself and you don't see the bruise until the next day. I wish you and your son the very best. Good luck.

You need to take him to the emergency room or health clinic if the pediatrician won't see him. It sounds like at least second degree burns and he can get seriously infected. You did well putting him in cold water right away, you helped keep him from burning worse, but now he needs to see a doctor right away to be evaluated.

The consciousness of the possible damage acts as a deterrent. Hate ceases by that consciousness.
