I was up in the attic of this old house I bought and I could see alot of daylight all around the perimiter of the house and my question is, whats the best and/or cheapest way to seal that up?

It's not vent holes I'm talking about. they are holes because the house is old. And they are all along the outside walls.

if yo uhave vents ou are ok , what i would do is check roof for leaks, if yo are ok there i would insulate more, you have vents so why worry about the other light as long as you are ok in the roof
this air will keep the roof cooler, insulate really good , if you can blow it in

You should see daylight everyplace a vent has been installed between the roof rafters or trusses. Don't cover them. Just check to be sure the screens are intact, lest you be host to a flock of B1RD's.

is the light coming from the eves? if so. it is for air circulation and you should put up screens over the openings.
If the light is coming from the roof then you need to patch the roof with a patch like henry roof patch
