When it is the end of February, and people still have their Christmas lights turned on. Like, come on now....I like the holiday as much as anybody, but when it's over, it's over....accept it.

Don't get annoyed ... choose instead to be incredibly humored by their weirdness. lol :-)

(It is more fun that way)

January and especially February are dreary months. Winter hangs on and on and on. No significant holiday until March at least (Easter/Spring Break), and not everybody enjoys those.

So I guess some people like the brightness and cheerfulness of Christmas lights.

I prefer to take them down, though. Even though Jan and Feb are dreary, Christmas is over and it's time to move on (besides, we decorate sometimes as early as Thanksgiving). But I sympathize with those who feel differently.

Maybe their whole lives revolve around holidays especially Christmas! Some people are really obsessive with Christmas almost like wedding planning everything has to be oh so perfect. What's the point of a holiday if your stressing out!

Yeah, I think it's kind of annoying too. I can see not taking them down the day after Christmas, but February is a bit much. I think it's just laziness because taking those lights down and putting them back up is a lot of work.

I love this. I find it just utterly hilarious. Especially when they still have the timer set and everyday [well night techincally], CLICK, there goes their Christmas lights- and their house is basically a beacon.

Happens to my neighbors almost every Christmas. Now we just put bets on how long it takes for them to realize their Christmas lights are still up and totally functional.

But the best part is when they realize really late, and they take a section off and leave the rest up. As if to sey 'Uh, we tried?'. Or that the lights stayed up so long that a section just... burnt out.

A bucket of laughs.

Right, it's like I see at least 3 houses on the same street with Christmas lights turned on. It is usually inside of the window too.

Robin Williams one said he thought it would be cool if people left their lights on year round and when they had a good day, they'd turn them on.

But I am with you, I saw one today that had everything up, incluing numerous pieces of Christmas lawn art.

Not annoying. But it's true,
it should be easier taking them down, then it was putting them up, since we don't care how they'll end up.
It's not like we don't need to conserve energy.
