Depends really on how the songs are sampled, but .wav files are always going to be larger. I would say on average about 3 times larger than .mp3 files of the same song.

a wav file is like a higher quality mp3, a mp3 is a newer version of a wave file and is smaller formated so you can store more songs without taking up as much space.

A wav file can take up to ten times the space of an mp3. But if you're burning to a CD, a wav is better. If you edit an mp3 and save it as an mp3, you can get noticeable deterioration of sound quality.

Wave for sure is larger. Mp3 is a compressed wave file usually.
