Sorry pal, I'm all for The Departed. That movie was so exciting because it could have taken any turn, and the ending was good. If you haven't already, you should see it.

Little Miss Sunshine.

Babel and The Departed will split votes. (Martin gets his IOU Oscar, but the film wasn't strong enough to garner more than a single vote in the top four acting categories.)

Not enough people saw Eastwood's films and he was recently honored (and will receive international accolades later).

Amazingly, a comedy has a chance to cut through the competition and win it. Remember, Shakespeare in Love (Little Miss Sunshine) won the Best Picture Oscar vs. Elizabeth (The Queen), Saving Private Ryan and The Thin Red Line (Letters from Iwo Jima) and Life is Beautiful.

Take a peek at the Little Miss Sunshine trailer again for kicks.

I would love "Little Miss Sunshine" to win, but think that "The Departed" or "Letters from Iwo Jima" will win. But I am still pulling for "Sunshine"--such a good movie.

Who knows. I figured Brokeback Mountain would win last year and then Crash swooped in and took it. I'm pulling for Iwo Jima, but I haven't seen Little Miss Sunshine.

Ehh, the awards ceremony will probably end because the power will go out. Then the movies will be accidentally dropped in the toilet so no one will know the winner.

Yeah, Miss Sunshine'll win. Is she a good actor?
