Depending on the depth of your analysis, they are entirely suitable.
College students write papers on Dr. Seuss, so I really don't think the target audience is relevant, when we're talking about literary analysis. Some of the most-debated works among literary critics and analysts remain Alices Adventures in Wonderland and the The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Their may be guidelines for title-selection that would trump this general answer. Maybe check with your teacher.

It's suitable if you are reading for fun, but if you are in 8th grade and you are doing a book report on it, it's not suitable.

Definitely! That series is the bomb! I've read every one of them like twice +. They're probably a 7th grade reading level but even adults read them sometimes. No doubt the best series ever.

it is suitable but if your reading them for a book report or project then no i would say they arn't unless you read the ones that are towards the end of the series because they are longer in length. if you need a good book i recomend "I am the Wallpaper" by Mark Peter Hughes really good book!

I think they're a little bit young for you, unless its just for entertainment. then its fine, but it won't be much of a challenge for you if that's what your looking for.

those books are for anyone!! they r like the best books ever!! you should totally read them. read them in order....if u dont you wont get whats goin on.

I have never read the books but the movie is ok. my younger sisters (10,12) liked it.
