I had the HP #20 cartridge replaced but the colour appears to have dried up. My computer is a Compaq Presario and the HP 612C is not on the menu to add that printer. I have 610C as a printer and it use to print all the time now no matter what printer I pick it will not print.

Yes. If any tank is empty the printer will stop working. Most printers are manufactured this way.

OK if someone has removed the cartridges then they will automatically become unusable this is a common thing with the new cartridges and it has become a issue that has alot of ppl ticked at the manufacs of the cartridges...this is to say that u have removed the new ones after u replaced them ? the sensors shut down on the cartigdes
