I found out the other day i'm 6 weeks pregnant with my first child and very happy. But lately I've been having some cramping not bad or painful. I seem to only feel them when i stand up and am in the process of getting maternity care but wont be able to do anything until march 6th. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had the same thing and had a normal pregnancy and if its normal to be feeling a little bit of cramping. Thanks

CONGRATS ON YOUR BUNDLE! HERE IS SENDING YOU STICKY VIBES AND POSITIVE BABY DUST YOUR WAY!!!!

yes it is normal. it is most likely what they call round ligament pain. That just means your body is changing to accomodate your new blessing in about 7 months. I have had it with all of my children and it is usually a little worse with the very first one.

if it becomes so bad that you cant really move, that is when you should call your doctor. Also if you start spotting or unusual discharge... call your dr right away. Any sign of blood; GO RIGHT TO THE ER! (dont let them give you that bull crap about only come in if you fill a pad or more within a hour)

Also it happens to me when i get up too fast (like running to the bathroom if i held my pee a little too long. lol). Other times i feel cramping is when i have gas (dont worry.. you will get there too. lol) and sometimes during the BIG O. that is because your uterus is contracting (does not hurt the baby though unless your dr puts you on a no sex diet.

Congrats again!

It's normal. Some people do and some don't. You will be ok. I am 5 months and I still have cramps. Not every pregnancy is the same.

Cramping is normal in pregnancy. I had very light menstral cramps from weeks 6-10. It went away BUT if your cramps are severe, or accompanied by bleeding call your doctor. Good luck.

yeah as long as you don't have any heavy bleeding your good. I was really worried after I first found out I was pregnant and felt those cramps at night but after coming on here and asking the same question i felt so much better also get the book "what to expect when your expecting" it puts you at ease about so every little worry you have! Congrats!

Congrats! You should be just fine. mild cramping is normal in your first trimester, your body is stretching and making room for baby! That is most likey what you are feeling. Hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months!

Mild cramping is normal in pregnancy...its your uterus stretching starting to stretch to get ready for the baby's growth...If it is more severe you need to see your Dr. before March 6th ...Good Luck!

I experienced the same thing. It's just stretching and your body getting used to the new life inside of you. Your body is preparing for birth. It is completely normal, but if it gets too painful, talk with your OB-GYN and they can prescribe pregnancy safe pain medication.

If it is not bad cramping, it's usually due to your muscles stretching...in your uterus and abdomen. Try a heating pad or Tylenol if it gets too uncomfortable!

Yes its very normal and nothing to worry about. If it gets so bad your doubled over or you have any blood get it checked. when you do see the doctor mention it if it makes you feel better.
