The Sims 2 doesn't work anymore?

Hey, I bought the Sims 2 right after Christmas and it worked fine. It was the holiday edition, so I had the regular game and then the holiday stuff pack with it. I didn't download the holiday stuff until a few weeks ago. I'm not sure if it was the holiday stuff or that I messed the virtual memory on my computer (which is now fixed), but the game doesn't work anymore. Like, the graphics are all messed up and I can't see anything. Do yall know of any way I can fix this?

You might need a better graphic card... we have sims on diffrent pcs here and its MUCH better on the machine with the better graphic card.... you can see things on one that you cant see on another.
