Not so fast there fellas. There are 2 kinds of tint. Well, no 3 types.
You got your 100% street legal factory tint, and then you got your 100% undeniably illegal ghetto tint. GM also had a semi-metallic coating used to reduce the IR radiation in those goofy looking minivans with the 1/2 acre windshield some years ago.
If it is a 100% street legal factory tint, it's buit into the glass, it can't be removed or changed without changing the glass.
If it is a 100% illegal ghetto glass, than y'all beeze right. This is just a cheap but overpriced layer of plastic applied for the express purposes of hiding TNB, pimpin' hoin',smokin' crack and other in car criminal ghetto activity from da po-leese. Scrape that chit off and avoid getting shot by five-oh because they suspect you of some typical ghetto activities.
If however it's the tinting on the long sloping 1/2 acre gm crapbox minivan, don't mess wid it. It's a semi-metallic reflective coating designed to reduce the greenhouse heating effects. This is a surface treatment that could be damaged by a razor blade. Don't mess wid it homey. Very expensive and not repairable.

they make this stuff that's literally called tint remover. it comes in a spray bottle. i think you can get it at advanced auto. if you use that along with razor blades it comes off easier.
