That might depend on the relationship you have with the father. If the pregnancy was a result of casual sex, then no. If you've had a relationship of long-standing and there is love and commitment between you, then yes.

And ignore the hate-monger above me who hopes that you die from infections. Abortion is not always about "convenience". It's your body, your decision. Remember that.

Tough choice. I had to make it once, and years later, I'm still not sure if I made the right decision.

We were both at difficult times in our lives, both emotionally and financially. He also had severe health issues at the time and our contraceptive failure came as a shock. (condoms are not as effective as they would have us believe).

He was much more religious than I am, so he took it harder than me. For me, there was no other choice. But even though he supported me through it, he was very hurt by it and even though we're still close, for a time, it created quite a strain between us. I felt that I hurt him and it was something I hadn't wanted to do, so I carried some guilt for a long time and wondered if I should've kept it to myself.

Your situation is very personal to you, though, and only you can decide what is right for you. What kind of relationship you have with the father... Don't let the judgemental, self righteous hypocrites on this site make you feel bad. This is YOUR life and YOUR choice... Be well.

I think you should have your baby, and put it up for adoption, it will be hard giving it away but you will feel much more better knowing that the baby has a family that loves it, instead of having to live with the regret of killing it, and when your older and you have kids of your own you will regret it soo much that you aborted one thats all i have to say and please adopt, good luck GOD BLESS YOU

Abortion is by far a humans WORST act. Murdering your own child is completely disgusting. Ask yourself this... Are you wanting an abortion because you are scared? Don't want your parents to find out? Having an abortion as a convenience is a terrible thing to do. Shame on you and the mother who gave birth to you!!!!! If you go through with that, I wish horrible infections take your life!!!

P.S. I am not a hate monger as the nurse below claims. I am horribly disgusted by anyone involved in taking the life of the innocent, their own babies who they are supposed to protect!!! Especially when only 2% of abortions are due to true life threatening situations. It is a damn shame that this is allowed! Your body? Your choice? Your right? WTF about the body inside you? What about that LIFE?

Do you know that a human heart starts beating between 6 and 8 weeks? Did you know that in most abortions, the baby moves away from the pain? Did you know that they respond to pain, light, other sensations? To say this is a bad thing for me to say to you is like saying that murder is o.k. Their little eye buds, arms, legs, body parts are all under way... Constantly dividing cells, turning into a beautiful little person.

DOCTORS and NURSES are hypocrits. They are supposed to heal, NOT KILL! F You lady below.
