Malgudi or the man eater is not related to biological environment but is related to personal environment. They are inspiring and the themes are related to the human nature and burning truths of life. He also said in his novel but never went close to protecting the earth.

Even a tiny step towards welfare or reform in the society would considered as giant step for the protection of the environment. We live on this earth, our village is also a unit on this earth. To create awareness through various means, either it may be throug novels to protect village or cleanliness, should be considered as a step to protect the environment of the earth.

r.k narayan's novels dealt more with human relationship rather than anything to do with protecting the environment. it was more about the innocent people living down in our villages. their folly, their dreams etc.

i dont think so. he just praised the beauty nature.the lush green feilds; the dense undergrowth of the forest surrounding malgudi the immaginative village. he might be attached with nature but he has not xpressed it in his books atleast.
