>You got no business with anything that could hurt you. It's lighter fluid or nothing. Using other flammable liquids will either not produce light and heat, or will remove the hand from your arm as bits of tiny shrapnel fill the space that your brain should have been occupying.

No, they don't come filled...but whoever sells them probably has the proper fuel.<

Do you mean the flint? There is a chip of flint to be installed that the wheel rolls past, striking a spark, the lighter fluid fuels the flame the spark creates. A new lighter comes with flint installed and a spare in the bottom where you store extras when you replace them in the future.

It's called "LIGHTER FLUID" . Sometimes it's an alcohol base made by both Ronson and Zippo. But way back when, over in Korea, we used straight gasoline right out of the gas tank of our trucks. Worked just as well but smelled like gasoline.

The lighter does not come "preloaded". That would be dangerous to ship something that could cause a fire.

Butane, usually you have to add it to a new lighter. They ship without it due to Haz Mat shipping rules.

If not, then you could be asking about flint, the spark that make the flame. yes, lighters ship with flints. TIP: put spare flints in the bottom of the case and never be without a spare.

butane gas... it is almost like a gas and it comes in a can... with a small nozzle on the end... and you stick that on the little metal pin on your lighter and it fills it up... and it doesnt last very long... but it is cheap and worth it...
