Do you think that it is a subtle attempt to bring prejudice and uneasiness about Milt Romney's religion (Mormon) into the campaign?

No, the only thing that's relevant is what Mit has done.

His great-grandfather may very well have had more than one wife, but that has nothing to do with him. And the simple answer to your question is First Part No - Second Part YES; however it is more than a subtle attemt.

I was raized Mormon (However, I am not) I have nothing against them that I don't have against most other religions. I am simply a non-denominational Christian. Some of the answers I read to your question are simply wrong and miss-guiding. I do know that many Mormons practiced polygamy until it became illegal in the 1800's - Think about it....How many others did this (men are men).

My grandfather was mormon and one of the best men I've ever known. So, although I don't practice Mr. Romney's religion, I will (more than likely) vote for him.

There are several Cults that call themselves Mormon that have nothing to do with the LDS church which is Mormon. Because of these FREAKS many people believe that the real Mormons do these crazy things. I am proud that Mr. Romney is in the public eye so people who don't know will find out that Mormons are no stranger than Catholics. There are Cults that use the name of every major religion to present a face of legitimacy - be carefull not to confuse one of the cults as the actual Mormons.

The way to gain knowledge and understanding is to keep asking questions.

NO GOD - NO PEACE
KNOW GOD - KNOW PEACE

No it is not relevant just more mud slinging. Lets see what gets dug up next by a bored press corps should be worth a stale talk show or two.....
It is like an old 78 record from my grandparents day - really old and worn out.

Anyone care my great-grandfather ran a whorehouse? Personally I couldn't do anything about it - as he died before I was born - but the press could have a blast with the information......

It's not relevant at all, it's just the Liberal media trying to ruin the most moral candidate in the 2008 election.

Every family has dark parts like that. Look at Obama, he has roots to radical Muslims.

And for the person who said "Bush's great grandfather was a nazi sympathizer" It would also mean that John Kerry was related to that person, since Bush and Kerry were cousins.

No it's not relevant. Why would anyone give a crap about something a great grandfather had done eons ago? Ancient history.

yeah, it's an attempt, nothing subtle about it though.

It's just another attack on yet another politician's character...big deal. We want to know where someone stands on issues, not their distance family history. Who really cares?

It is not relevant. Polygamy was allowed by the Mormon Church up until recently (last 25 yrs or so?). It should not be held against Mitt Romney.

Polygamy was outlawed in 1897--There's only one Uncle Milty, and he's not running for President. Obviously a candidates family tree is irrelevant to Presidential voters. Bush's Grand daddy was a known Nazi sypathizer--Remember?

Were not gonna vote a goofball Mormon into office, especially a one term no-nothing Governor. NEXT!!

I think it would be fun to try doing all six women in one night.....doubt that this is relevant since it happened over 100 years ago.

Obama's father had an American wife and an African wife at the same time. Is that relevant?

No it isn't. If you go back very far in anyones family lines you will find something. It's just an attack as usual.
