i had made an appointment with a Dr. to see if I have hipatitis b ....I want my partner to go with me to that appointment...He said he will...But I not sure to how to tell him the appointment is for that without him getting upset....all he tells me that it is not contagous...I don't know how to tell him that that appt. is for that without him getting mad..........

Yes, it is highly contageous. Avoid bodily fluid contact. Get yourself tested. I had the vaccinations done, I am a health care professional. Three shots over 6 months.

Very serious.

Hep B is VERY contagious. It can live outside the body up to 3 days. If someone has it and leaves a drop of blood and you come in contact with it you will be infected. If it is dry you will be less likely to get it but all it needs is a drop of water or fluid and it is active again. There is NO cure for it all will most likely lead to A and C. Be careful.

Get tested, now. Hepatitis B is transmitted by the exchange of body fluids. That's why it's listed as an STD.

you probably will get it or already have it. it can pass from any exchange of body fluids.
