To most people they are one in the same, but they really aren't.

The domain name, yahoo.com for example, is registered in the DNS system and owned by Yahoo!. Within that domain, Yahoo! has several "hosts" (computers) such as www.yahoo.com, ftp.yahoo.com, mail.yahoo.com, and so on. Those computers all have an associated web site, but there could be many other systems that have nothing to do with a web site. For example, there may be a db1.yahoo.com which isn't accessable through a web site but performs database functionality for other Yahoo! servers.

A website (or Web site) is a collection of web pages, typically common to a particular domain name or subdomain on the World Wide Web on the Internet.

A web page is a document, typically written in HTML, that is almost always accessible via HTTP, a protocol that transfers information from the website's server to display in the user's web browser.

The term domain name has multiple related meanings:

* A name that is entered into a computer (e.g. as part of a Web site or other URL, or an e-mail address). These names are technically hostnames.
* The product that Domain name registrars provide to their customers. These names are often called registered domain names.
* A name which is not a hostname used for other purposes in the Domain Name System (DNS), for example the special names used by Session Initiation Protocol (VoIP) or DomainKeys.

Okay, easy one.

First look up at the address bar, it reads http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index.blah, blah...
That is a domain name 'yahoo.com'.

The website name, however, is not the same, it is simply (if you'll look up in the left hand corner) Yahoo! Answers.
