Max, I am sorry that this guy took advantage of you. You have just learned one of the hardest lessons. My husband and I had a business and I had to learn the way you did, but do not let it get you down. I have always been taught to see the good in people and to trust them. When someone does this to you it makes you question people. When people wrote bad checks to us, I would send them a registered letter stating that if they did not pay the money due to us by a certain date that I would have to take a warrant out for the debt. Then if they did not pay, I would have to go to small claims court to collect, but most of the time it scared them enough to pay the money. Get an adult to call the magistrates office and see if there is anything you can do. They can tell you if there is anything you can do legally. If this does not work, chalk it up to $140.00 lesson and never .... never... let someone take the product you are selling with them until you have the money in hand!!!
Good Luck.

Oh i hate these types of situations.

Well then, i guess you learned your lesson then

Take the trucks and wheels back and tell him he owes you 60 bucks for the deck he broke.

It should be easier for him to scramble up that much money. And if he finally does, you buy a new deck and you just got a free fresh deck.

If you wanted to get rid of the board, then just sell the new fresh deck.

These kinds of people are unpredictable though. Chances are you could never get the money bakc. Sorry dude, but these kind of people are *****.

They dont really care about how you feel about the situation

Take him to small claims court. Although, if it was a deal on a handshake it may affect the outcome. But then, it might be enough to get him to come up with the money.
If you are not an adult, you can ask an adult to help you; or talk to his parents.
One type of revenge would be to enlist someone to scam him the same way! But I suppose it is better not to stoop to his level ... but it is a nice thought. (ala Matchstick Men)
Same thing happened to me & ex- when he sold the 1955 MG-TD he was going to restore to his best friend for $1000. Friend gave us $25 and was to make payments, but never did. His "friend" did tell us though that he got $1000 when HE sold it!!
BTW, I paid for the damn thing to start with. Live & learn.
