Ok, me and my girl friend have had some problems lately. Mainly because of her parents (we're in high school) but anyways. I want to make her a cd to show I care. I want to get some of every genre on here, including rock, country, pop, hip-hop.
A few songs I was thinking of so far were:
Dierks Bentley - Every mile a memory
Eve 6 - Inside Out
Evans Blue - Cold
My Chemical Romance - Famous Last Words
Switchfoot - Dare You to Move or Amateur Lovers
Nelly Furtado - Wait For You
Seal - Kiss From a Rose
Nelson - More Than Ever
Papa Roach - Forever
Lifehouse - Hanging By A Moment / You and Me
U2 - Beautiful Day
Blink 182 - I'm lost without you
Finch - Letters To You
Finger Eleven - Paralyzer
I'm looking for more variety though, and songs that I don't have. Just name off any songs that have any special meaning to you or that you know of. I'll post the story of what's happened so that can better your understanding of my song choice and help you out too.

Ok, we were going out for 2 months when her parents found out we were dating in a less than optimal way. They had already told me that they didn't want us seeing each other because of our age difference (2 years) So in a way we're star crossed. Her mom was using her phone and started reading her text messages. Bad news and lesson learned. Anyway. Its a month and a half later and we drifted apart in the beginning but now its like we are taking slow steps to start over and reclaim some of what we had. She's almost scared in a way and she said that her parents made her life hell, but she won't tell me because she says that it's personal.
Listen to Animals by Nickelback, its kinda sorta what happened in a way.

Your little story remided me of the song. "I Think We're Alone Now" by Tommy James and the Shondells from 1967. Hmm it's seems this song was also done by Tiffany, but I take no responsibility for that.

Go through your old dvds and check out their songs like:
All out of love - Air supply (Van Wilder)
I want you to want me - Letters to cleo (10 things I hate about you).
It's surprising how much those songs stick into people heads just because they were in a movie.
Hope I could help.
