I'm trying ot look up the psychological term / condition for people who sort their candy and it it in a speical way. Like all yellow in one pil and so on, and then they also eat it pile by pile, color by color, flavor by flavor.

They also do this with their food, like a dinner. They will eat their entire lobster first, all of the shrimp second, and the entire baked potato last.

What is this called?

The people that answer OCD are only partly right. It is actually OCPD. Obessive compulsive personality disorder. People have the mind set that disorders are negativity and that the person needs to be locked away. This is not true. Every single one of us has some type of mental condition that we struggle with. Just some of us have more self-assurance to accept this and embrace themselves. The most brave souls seek out theraputic assistance from a psychologist. Many people look down upon this because many feel that therapy is for the weak and mentally insane. The purpose of psychotherapy is only to better ourselves and speed up our personal self improvement. There is nothing wrong with OCPD, because you are highly organized! Just be sure not to take on so much responsibility that you constantly burn yourself out. Which is a common trait of any type of OCD.

Sounds to me like a symptom of obsessive-compulsive disorder, but I don't think eating rituals by themselves constitute OCD. Also, food rituals are almost omni-present in anoretics, but unless you eat significantly less than average, you aren't anorexic. And why is it OCPD? The difference between OCD and OCPD is that OCPD people know why they feel compulsions and see their compulsions as an integral part of their personality, thus it's a personality disorder. Personality disorders are ego-syntonic, by definition.

i have no idea, but i eat like what you said. i cant eat anything else until ive finished one side first. kinda weird. i think it might be like an ocd or soemthing. ive never been diagnosed, but the sorting of the candy or whatever sounds something like an ocd.

I don't think it's OCD. I used to do that, I'm not sure why. I'd actually like to find out more info on it for that matter.
