They are only words. You should not let what someone says effect you like that. Men are more cruel (in general) than women because that is the way God made humans. The older you get, the more you will realize not to care about what others say or think about you. It is hard when you are young because you want to be accepted by your peers. Take these things with a grain of salt. Some people enjoy hurting others. I find that the people who are most abusive verbally generally say things because they themselves have low self-esteem so by cutting someone down, it makes them feel better. Actually next time they same something mean - you should flip the situation around and tell them that they must have low self-esteem and you will pray for them. Hold your head up high and do not let anyone know that they got under your skin. Look at how nice Jesus was to people and look at what they did to Him.

Sorry to say that people like you who have empathy feel things on a deeper level which means we get hurt more. The way to look at it is to say to yourself that the person doing the hurting has something very wrong in their life. It could be that his/her parents are not very good parents and need to love them more.
No one is born knowing how to be empathetic. We all learn by example...how our parents teach us through their actions. Sounds like your parents have done right by you so be thankful that you are not cruel and be empathetic toward them instead. It's hard when you are young but you will be well rewarded throughout your life so just keep being you. :) Best wishes!

That remark was calculated to hurt you and it did. Examine the reasons behind the episode. Did you do or say anything to provoke such a vicious reaction?
When I went to school, boys would touch our chests, mess our hair
... you get the idea and we girls always reacted in the worst way. So your classmate may have been extremely aggravated by something you said or even by something someone else said.
If you are entirely innocent then put the whole thing behind you. You had nothing to do with it and it is not your problem, it is your classmate's.

Don't let people hurt you like that. They're very unhappy individuals in the first place and so to make themselves look bigger and better in their eyes, they attack someone who looks or may be what they consider their inferior.
I have a smart mouth so I probably would have had some kind of nasty comment back at him.
That kind of statement can be construed as emotional abuse or bullying . You can tell the teacher, the principal, your guidance counsellor and your parents and get all of them involved or you buy a book of insults and give it right back to the creep.

Because they've been hurt and they want others to hurt as well. They want others to see what they go through every single day of their lives.... Don't hate the people that hurt you...because those people have been hurt as well. Don't continue the chain of abuse. Just let it go. They have enough to deal with, and so do you. Just...let it go. Sorry and good luck :-)

some people possibly have grown up in an unhappy lifestyle so they have to make comments to people who are happy to make themselves feel better..some have no manners and never take into consideration other peoples feelings...Have faith there are people out there who would do anything for you, especially loving parents
