what is the process of mediation in Texas?

I read that you do not need a lawyer to enter mediation. Do I need to file the petition for divorce before mediation?

I don't think so, i think you can have mediation without filing.
I would get some advice first from a lawyer or from a advice centre before you go ahead. Try the library or the internet for advice and support contacts.
