It seems like dumpster diving is strenuous enough to keep them in shape when not actively training.

I think the actions of dumpster diving would be ideal. It would help with practice of angles and getting the motions down to perfection. However the true art of dumpster diving is to pick random dumpsters to test your skills and resilience. This could have increased risk factors for the Olympic divers in terms of injury and as to whether their insurance would cover it. Therefore in theory dumpster diving is ideal, but in practice a bit too much of a headache!

Nope, the diver would have to dive from a great hight, so a 3 foot deep dumpster would probably be too shallow, and cause major injuries. But maybe I'm wrong... you should probably try it at home, just to test my theories. Tell me if you die.

No, I think they stick to the pool. Otherwise, someone could snap pictures of them and stick it all over the Internet, and that's the end of their career...

I would hope so bacause they need the practice as that will be their job when they get older
