as the Dutch side were thrown out by UEFA, the English side progress automatically to the last 16 to face Sporting SC Braga of PORTUGAL.

I think because their would be opponents, Feyenoord, got thrown out of the competition because of their fans acting up. Violence in the stands and so on in the group stage match vs Nancy.
