For those who live in southern CA is it realistic to pay 600 monthly in property tax if living in a community?

Yes, Property taxes are just over 1%, some places have another Mello roos fee of almost 1%. So if you're buyng a place that's 600K, which unfortunately is close to average for a medium house, ou are paying 600-1000 minimum in taxes a month.
