"late yesterday" by alexa slinder.acoustic version,

how can something so small ruin my insides
how can I spiral til I drown
In all of this we call life
I cant seem able to hold onto you anymore
chorus
(anymore,anymore
am I supposed to let go,let go,let go
of you)
do you think its okay for me to feel this way
its dangerous to be so empty
maybe if I wrote my heart out,for you you
would you you loved me too

(anymore,anymore
am I supposed to let go,let go,let go
of you)
My heart will bleed unless you hold me
til I can see
the truth our lifes hold
but,what is truth?
(anymore,anymore
am I supposed to let go,let go,let go
of you)

(anymore,anymore
am I supposed to let go,let go,let go
of you)

(whisper)maybe you'll love meee..too.

hey alexa... its sooo hard to "hear" a song just from reading lyrics. i have dozens of my songs written down, and when i look at the lyrics, I can hear what they sound like to me, but everyone else doesn't really "get it" until i grab the guitar and play and sing the words. Seems like you wrote from the heart, and that is the most important element... just believe in it, you know? The coolest thing about music is that SOMEONE, SOMEWHERE, will take something from it. Best of luck....

I'm sure that people agonizing over a breakup will be able to cathart when they hear it. I really can't answer the part about being well written, because I believe that a song needs both music and words to be a song. Maybe the music makes this one work, but I can't know without hearing it. I don't particularly care for this kind of lyric though, because I think it's based on addiction rather than true love.

Sorry. It's not very good. You should get a book on songwriting though. You definitely have the motivation, just not the tools. There are no such thing as naturals. Everything is learned.
