Hello,

The Renaissance ran from the 14th - 16th centuries (1300 - 1599), and since the Tudors ruled England from 1485-1603...you are okay.

Marie Antoinette's clothing is NOT Renaissance as such. There is a particular style considered Renaissance and it's pretty much the stuff you'd see in Robin Hood. The clothing is fitted to the body, low necklines sometimes and long fan shaped sleeves. It is also nice to wear a cloak of velvet. Of course there are other styles of clothing you can try - maid, princess, witch, etc. If you have ever seen "Mists of Avalon" they have great clothing appropriate to the time period.

Pick a period, and do a bunch of research on it.
Tudor is in fact considered part of the rennaisance, but it would take lots of time, and lots of money, to do it well.
Depending on how much work you are willing to do, different eras will work. If you aren't into spending much money/putting in lots of effort, I'd go with an earlier period, at least before the 14th century. Usually, Ren Faire period covers the 1100's to the mid 1600's.
The French Revolution (when the movie took place) is a bit late for a ren faire, being in the 1780's and all.
A wedding gown might be a bit much, after all, you're going to be there for a while, sweaty, and more than likely there will be some dirt involved.
Toddlers dressed all the same, in gowns. It wasn't until they were about three that there was any gender separation.

Good Luck!

They liked to show a lot of cleavage in those days. You'd look great in a corset.
