Help with my story please?

Question

It's an assignment that I have to write with a partner.Our two characters have to meet. Her's is a story set in "our" time. While mine is a fantasty story. So we've decided that our characters will meet in a book. Her character will go through a scene in her life, interrupting my story.

Partner's character is Alexis and mine is Will.

Alexis is a teenager and will go to a party, which has drugs. Her best friend, Jack finds out and tells her not to go. But she does anyways. Jack tells Alexis's parents and Alexis gets in trouble when she comes home.

Will tries to retake his kingdom from the current king who killed his father for it.
In one of my previous story, my character Will gets betrayed by his best friend (Will saved his life, that was how they met. Dralco-the friend was working for the king) So in this story it is about the post-betrayal. I can't think of a good story for Will that will kind of relate to Alexis since Will has already been betrayed.

So far I have

Will wants revenge so bad that he almost sends his army to the slaughter.

second, Will could question his sense of trust and goes through th enext couple years bitter towards life until he meets his future wife.

I feel like the first one is stupid, be I characterize him as a kind person.

the second one makes him look stupid, since if he begins to trust other people, it makes it seem that he is asking for another betrayal.

I don't know what to writeto match Alexis story. Alexis and Jack do stay friends so it could be a foil between Will and Dralco's relationship.

Here is what I have written so far:

He stood by the Altea River in a blood-stained armor when he turned towards the soft noises of the villagers rummaging through their smoldering village in the distance. His body was unable to stand in agony as the pain collapsed the spine and tightened the inside of the body—gripping harder and harder. He fell to his knees. He wanted to tear himself apart because of his stupidity. How could he have been so sloppy? He had shared everything with this man, his secrets, feelings, things he had never told anyone else. Each betrayal begins with trust. That was what Will had given him.
He stabbed his sword into the ground to push up his fatigued body. He turned to look at the numerous bodies of villagers and soldiers lying on the battle-worn ground. Will had slaughtered all but one of the men that Alaric had sent to Barstow County to kill his family. He didn’t make it in time, to kill Dralco, the man who led the band of ruthless Abaddon sold

soldiers. The man that killed his family.

Hmm... This is very hard. These are two completely different stories. Let's see. Let's say that Alexis has to do a homework assignment on making up a story as she thinks about how her friend might betray her. So she makes up the story of Will and how his friend betrays him. She gets worried. That's all I can think of that can actually make sense.

how about this.
Dralco is Jack in our time only different. that's how they connects. in order to kill Dralco, Will must first find an Excalibur that can only be conjured by the witch master who is under the command of the current king. Dralco is under some kind of magic that he can't be killed by any ordinary sword.
Alexis and Jack would have to work on a history project about the medieval era. Since Alexis is all about the party, Jack was the one doing all the job. He somehow came across the betrayal myth/legend about Will/Dralco. somehow rather he felt this story is very keen and familiar.
while he was doing his research, he found that the Excalibur really existed and went to the museum to see it. he asked Alexis to come with him to do the research. Somehow she recite the mantra on the blade of the Excalibur and freed the soul of both Will and Dralco. The Excalibur traps the soul of the person killed and the king damned Will to be trapped as well in the Excalibur. without knowing Alexis is the decedent of Will...

make it so will goes away by himself, finds a magical light or something, and gets pulled into alexis's world. Alexis has to help him because he dont know about all the technology we have. Eventually, he has to go back and ask her to go with her. she says no or yes, whatever your choice is. that is all i could come up with and good luck.
