Has anyone had any success using the 17 p shot or cervical stitch to prevent premature birth?

I have a history of premature birth( no known reason) and was wondering if any of you had a good outcome in using one of these two!..im very curious to know!...any information would be highly appreciated!...

my sister had a cervical stitch when she was preg with her son. She went full term after a history of miscarriage.
