I don't see that it does any harm, nor do I see that it is anyone else's business what they wear. Maybe they like the comfort. Maybe they don't own the currently fashionable stuff for workouts. Maybe something else. The gym should be for exercising, not for making snotty observations about what other people wear.

Well, those guys think it is easier to workout with swim trinks on and swim trunks are made of a thinner material than shorts or sweats so they are more flexible with these on. Also they won't sweat as much if they where these instead of sweats.

They think they look cool in them...
They are checking to see who is actually awake at the gym...
Maybe they thought they would go for a swim afterward (hope they shower first, though)...

i have never seen anyone ever in the gym with long swim trunks on.

maybe they want to go for a swim afterward to cooldown or they're embarassed about sweat and use it as an excuse...like "yeah, I just went for a swim...its not sweat." LOL

Because they're losers. Others might have more elaborate answers than that but this is the only answer you need. In fact, most questions could be answered with that answer. If I don't get "best answer" for this one, I never will.
