If you don't know when you ovulated, then they recommend 19 days after sex.
Sperm can live up to 6 days.
It takes 6-12 days for implantation.
Depending on your body, it takes 2-6 days for hcg to register in your urine.

If you do not chart or monitor your fertility in any way, and you think you may have conceived, you should wait 19 days (or longer) after having sex to test. Why 19?! Sperm can live approximately 5 days in the proper environment; if the sperm managed to live until you popped an egg, the actual conception could have taken place several days after the sex act that got the sperm there. To make sure you're not testing too early, assume the sperm had very long lives (5 days is considered a very long sperm life) and that conception occurred then. Then allow 14 days for the embryo to implant and develop enough hCG to show up on a pregnancy test (96% of pregnant women will test positive by then.)

Right about now. Most women are most fertile two weeks before their period, so, assuming that your period was before Feb. 13th, you could be 2-4 weeks preggo by now. A good test, not generic, should be able to tell you. Have you missed your next due period yet? That is also a GREAT time to buy a test, AFTER you've missed a period.

They have tests that you can take 5 days before a missed period(first response clearblue easy) but for some that may still be too early...try one of those first and if it comes out neg wait a few days and retest..blood tests are far more accurate if you still get a neg result...Good Luck!

It depends on when you Ovulated. If you Ovulated on the 13th - then February 27th would be a good bet.

(I ovulated on teh 14th, and I am testing the 28th if I haven't gotten my period.)
