Reboot from the CDROM of the Op system you are trying to load. No more error.

Windows will not let you format the drive because it would be erasing itself. You need to format the drive at boot-up with a disk.

Formatting will erase everything!!

Technically, that's not true ... 'CSI Miami' could recover info, but you probably won't.

Close all open programs. Hit all at once and end any tasks that are running. Are you sure you want to format your C: drive? ( I guess that's what you're talking about). You will lose all data and you will need to reinstall all programs.

If you try format windows you can do that in bios with the original cd of it, otherwise I guess you can format other drivers,
