Because once a man knows (or thinks) he has you, he feels like he has nothing really more to work for. But when he knows (or thinks) another man is involved (and can possibly take his place) then they do what they need to do, so they dont lose you to the other man.

you sure, not all men are like that.

like all relationships it is about being comfortable with each other, this is more important than the romantic thing in the end as is the friendship you share with one another.

its sheer panic...while women feel the need to nurture a relationship on a consistent basis- men like to get by doing nothing until needed, and make up for it with grandeur

because he has you and is comfortable. but the minute he thinks he can lose you he'll try his best to keep you. its a guy thing. been tyher done that. doesn't mean it's right but you need to learn to live with it.
