Shes so desperate for publicity and has been reduced to a has been singer she gets attention by constantly doing crazy things from her kids to her rehabs. Remember she tried to convince the world that she was a wholesome girl from Louisiana. It was all a farce and people don't like to find out the truth about there heroes.

I think its pretty simple: Her popularity had been climbing
continuously ever since she entered the industry.
As soon as she wasn't the up-and-coming thing, things
started to go wrong. Now that she is positively passee,
she's on a downward spiral.
Whether you believe she was supremely talented
or not, she had nowhere to go but down. I think
*SHE* realized that.
