This just started flashing in the lower right hand corner about a month ago. It says the Windows I have is not genuine and I may be the victim of software counterfeting. What should I do?

A. Talk with the person who sold you the computer about not having genuine Windows.

B. Go and buy a genuine Windows OS

C. Switch to Linux (it's free)

D. Buy a new computer

These are your options. Choose wisely. Personally I would choose C.

You can remove the WGA announcement, but your Windows is bootlegged and you won't be able to download Winows updates. Removing WGA is intended for those who have a legitimate copy of Windows and are annoyed by the intrusion.
You need to buy a genuine copy of Windows and watch who you deal with in the future. Only greedy people get ripped off.
