Like do you have to go to the DMV for anything, so they know you can drive after 9? Stuff like that.

This is for my boyfriend, he's turning 18 on March 5th and was wondering what he has to do, he knows he's got to register for the "selective service" but where do you do that?

Ok, 1st things first - go to the Post Office and get the selective service form and fill that out. (That's the only thing that's mandatory)

As for DMV - if your boyfriend already had a NYS license that is a class DJ, on his 18th birthday it automatically changes into a Class D (he isn't required to change it). He automatically gains the privileges of any other driver over 18.

Register with selective services if you are a male.

If you are male you have to register for the selective service.

Your license is probably expiring soon, just renew it before it expires.
