How do I make my Internet faster?

I have a 256kbps connection, I am with Telstra ADSL Broadband, and I am in Australia, When i download I used to get 23kbps on average, using cablenut I now get up to 26 on average, is there any way to increase even more on average? I have used TCP optemizer as well

If you are locked into a Telstra contract then you only thing you can do is to pay more money and upgrade to a faster plan. I am running a 1500kbps connection which downloads at about 160. The price for that is $69 per month. Go to the Bigpond site and look at the available plans. If you are not locked in then check out the oppositions plans. I am assuming that your computer is functioning properly with no spyware on it.

Hi,

You can try 3 Steps for increasing your internet faster.

1. You can clear Cookies, Temp internet files, temp files and then try it should be fine.

2. first things to check are the basics. Get your telephone company to check the 'gain' on your phone line. They should be able to do this automatically if you call them up.

Next is your modem. Try reinstalling the drivers you got on the CD-Rom that came with it or, even better, check the manufacturer's website to see if there are later versions.

Look for instructions on how to uninstall the current versions as this could be important to get the new ones working properly.

If you have no luck, consider checking out the performance of your ISP. Many internet magazines have performance tables for ISPs on their back pages, so see how well yours does.


3. Many softwares are available in the market that can boost up your internet speed connection.

Go to google type " Increase internet connection speed" and you can download some softwares that are either free and paid.
