With so many movies made, you shouldve specified a genre!
I personally think the Godfather was the best movie ever made.

Citizen Kane, especially for the cinematography. Though my personal favorite is Rear Window. The Whole Wide World is another great film as well.

I am partial to the first two Godfather movies...esp the part where a young Vito Andolini (DeNiro) escapes the people that murdered his father ,comes to America changes his name at customs and in time, establishes himself, his first hit, ...his rise to prominence and his return to revenge his fathers death...the countryside scenery, and the calculating cold of mob life, the promotion thru elimination...made for great cinema...

I think its the Spiderman series. Especially Spiderman 2. The movie shows him outstanding detail. Its as if he could really shoot web and fly in the sky and walk up buildings.
