There will never be anything compared to the BEATLES for the rest of time. I was 15 when they conquered the world. They were in the newspapers EVERY day. When I went to their concert in D.C. at the Coliseum, an old boxing arena which is now gone, it was a snowy night,.....43 YEARS AGO!!!! When they came down the aisle, it was as though a bomb went off!!! We were hysterical!!! We heard NO music the entire night....primarily because I never stopped screaming! The Beatles,themselves, later stated that they could not hear themselves. It was a night I will always remember. The Stones were good. The Beatles were a phenomenon.
By the way, I next saw The Dave Clark Five and The Beach Boys at the Coliseum...they were wonderful....they just weren't THE BEATLES!

The Beatles have always been the better band. The Rolling Stones were always "the bad boys" while the Bealtes were very likeable despite their arrogance. It doesn't help that the Rolling Stones sued the Verve or played at the Super Bowl last year either...

that's comparing two different kinds of bands. they each did their type of music extremely well. the beatles were some of the pioneers of rock and roll and wrote a lot of love songs and the stones just wanted to rock out. it depends on what kind of music you like. i prefer the beatles but they are both great.
