Any online "tips" are as likely to be scams as not.
Take your time and learn about the market. Then, invest slowly.
Moderate returns over time are much more dependable than get rich quick schemes.

OTB stocks (those with .OB) are much more loosely regulated than regular securities, and should be viewed as highly speculative, risky investments. Unless you're a very experienced professional trader, I would stay far, far away from anything trading for a penny a share, unless your main goal is legal gambling.
All of the major online portals (Yahoo, MSN, etc) have decent finance pages with links to other sites. The Motley Fool and Morningstar are also favorites of mine. For more legit companies that have a chance to skyrocket, check the Earnigns calendar. Usually a stock will trade with unusually high volatility right before earnings, and if the earnings report beats analyst estimates, the price will jump up. Of course, the risk is if it misses estimates, the stock can plummet.
