Well I dont know your questions so ill take some stabs at it.
Box turtles live for a very long time, so I am not suggesting them as a pet. They ussually live outside in people backyards. You can have them as a pet, and cage them in with some sort of gated in area in your yard. They eat vegetables. I have a rabbit, which when we make a veges for dinner, we give her the parts we dont eay, such as the tobs of the carrot. She really likes this and I would imagine so would a turtle. I also have a tutle, but it lives in water. I dont suggest anyone gets one because they smell terriable and they have to live in a clean cage, which consists of cleaning in alot. IF you get a box turtle, you should keep it outside to elimainate smell, and it will be easier to clean. KEep in mind you will have to pass the turtle down in your family. I really dont suggest you get one, but if you have a love for them and are willing to care for it, go ahead. There are also many types of turtles so you dont just have to get a box. Id imagine you could get one that wont live as long. Keep in mind you cant leave a turtle out in the snow without a place to keep warm. It could do alot of damage to the yard aswell, if big enough. I have know idea what your question is so hopefully I answered it. If not im sorry, and be more specific with what you want to know next time. Good luck

They are illegal in the US, but they are gentle creatures who like to eat lettuce, cottage cheese and soft fruits. They live about 80 years and enjoy swimming in water.
