The first thing that I did after graduation was throw a HUGE party. I had a guy passed out in the front yard until the next morning.

Then I started my job full-time. 3 years later, I got bored and went back to school while still working. Earned a second degree. I threw another graduation party.

3 years later, I went back to school again. Earned advanced degree. Got promoted. Threw a couple more parties.

Someday, I'll grow up.

unfortunately, because of where i was living at the time, i had been looking for a job for almost 2 years and couldn't find one. i had to move to a larger metro area. after i moved, it took me 2 months to find a job. i ended up staying at that job for a year and hated every moment. now i've been at my current job a year and love it. my majors were public relations and journalism. the first job that i hated was associate editor of a trade publication, and now i am working for a college in the communications/PR office.

my advice is to start looking for a job NOW! otherwise the market is flooded when everyone graduates in may. also, utilize your career services office at school and ask professors/alumni affairs about networking opportunities with alumni. good luck and don't take it to heart if you don't find something right away.

That will depend on if you were going to college to become something, not just for fun, and if you need to go on to a graduate school, to finish your schooling, I would hope that most go into the field that they studied in college, but some just become professional students, and do nothing with the knowlegde that they learn , that is up to you, and i hope that you pick the right way.

That's a lot of questions but here it is -after you graduate you will have to get a job, yes bummer.Your job with not have the slightest thing to do with your major or your minor. You will never use Geometry or Algebra or Chemistry ever-and I do mean EVER! And to go to graduate school is just a chicken **** way of avoiding that job.
