It means that you can not have any accidents, duis or any kind of traffic ticket. You have nothing on your record. Sometimes they will let you go if it is something small. But they want to know that you have obeyed the law in all aspects.

A clean driving record usually means nothing on your record for at least 3 years. depending on what the position is, minor violations and or accidents where you were not at fault may of may not be a concern.

Each employer is different. For the most part, it means no current suspensions or revocations. For some it means nothing in the last 18 months. For others it means no convictions of DWI, DUI or anything extremely serious.

You should ask the company what their definition is.

Usually, a clean driving record is an indication that the potential employee is a responsible person and perhaps could be a good and honest worker.

It mean's they want to hire a person who can drive safe on the road's, and be accountable and dependable. When you drive for a company, they have to let there insurance company know who is driving for them. It's about the amount of $$$ they pay for insurance. The better your driving record the better the premium's will be.
